Pool resurfacing is a significant long-term cost of pool maintenance. The longevity of a pool surface is dependent upon a number of factors including climate, water balance (calcium hardness, total alkalinity, pH, temperature) and most importantly, chemical use. Even though we can't do anything about the climate, we do control the other two.
Both out-of-balance water and poor use of traditional chemical systems eat away at pool surfaces, causing accelerated deterioration and ultimately surface mottling, pitting, and crumbling.
Our combination of technology and support are designed to assure that you extend the life of pool surfaces, regardless of the type (plaster or fiberglass; we recommend fiberglass as the more durable choice), while reducing maintenance and maintaining crystal clear water at the same time.
With our technology:
1. Pump Room Controller: In commercial pools, the bather loads are quite varied from day-to-day, and even throughout a 24-hour period. This is why our system begins with our microprocessor based TP-600 Pump Room Controller. This units ability to constantly monitor and adjust to these varying bather loads is crucial to any sanitization success. Constantly balanced water requires much less chemicals to maintain pristine water than unbalanced water.
2. PH Control: As with any type of sanitation process, our hybrid system is dependent upon constant PH levels to be at its highest efficiency. Our TechnoPure system constantly samples and adjusts the pH levels using food grade CO2. This allows us to have balanced, buffered water at all times.
3. Electronic Oxidation: We use this as our first line of sanitation. Our system is constantly oxidizing the water. Because we are using the elements of water itself, there is no harmful release of chloramines into the water or air. This greatly reduces the heavy chemical "pool smell" experienced at most commercial pools. Also, the free oxygen within the water acts as a natural flocculent attaching itself to small particles within the water and then gathering together, making these particles more filterable. This process allows the filters to be more efficient at removing the contaminants.
4. Copper-Zinc Ionization: We use this as our residual sanitization and algaecide. By only adding copper and zinc ions to the water when needed, we can maintain a perfect residual of .4-.7 PPM. This means we are always at the optimum protection from bacteria and algae. Again, balanced water needs much less manipulation to stay safe and clear. This supports the Langelier Index, which indicates the corrosiveness of water (the LSI Langelier Saturation Index). If its value is lower then -0.5, the water is corrosive, if its higher than + 0.5, the water has a high scaling potential, and it can form deposits in the piping.
