TechnoPure is a multi-patented technology and process for the non-chemical oxidation, sanitation, and conditioning of water. The technology involves the introduction of a low voltage DC current into a stream of water. The water is oxidized utilizing titanium electrodes plated with a proprietary coating, and ionized utilizing lead-free naval brass electrodes. The copper and zinc ions deposited into the water provide both point of entry and residual sanitation. In most applications, a filter is utilized to remove precipitated metals, minerals, and dead organics.

The unique feature of TechnoPure's technology is both the oxidizing and ionizing of the water. This combination of technologies is symbiotic. In many applications where oxidation and disinfection is needed, it is the best technology when considering operational costs, resource reduction, and environmental impact. In other applications, it is the only technology that is effective due to its efficacy over a wide range of water pH and dissolved solids (TDS) concentrations.

TechnoPure Features

The oxidation provided by the TechnoPure titanium plates causes a shift of the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) of the water. The oxidizing of the water provides disinfection and aides in the precipitation of dissolved minerals in the water.

The ionization provided by the TechnoPure naval brass plates also provides disinfection and aides in the precipitation of dissolved minerals in the water.

Bacteria are killed both by being oxidized and by being in the presence of metal ions such as copper. The combination of both oxidation and copper ionization is very effective at killing the bacteria, algae, and other microorganisms. The residual effect of the copper ions in the water eliminates future microorganism growth, thus ensuring effective biological control over long periods of system inactivity.

Most scale is caused by calcium and magnesium with carbonates. Calcite (calcium carbonate) is the most common scale. Calcite can precipitate out of the water when its concentration is greater than its solubility product. Precipitation will occur when the solubility product reaches that of amorphous calcium carbonate (ACC).

However, the solubility product of a compound is equal to the activity coefficients of all of the components in the water times their concentrations. When total ionic strengths increase (by other compounds) the activity coefficients will decrease. Thus, in precipitation chemistry mode, the higher saturation levels of all of the metal ions will tend to discourage the formation of calcite.

In addition, the solubility product of compounds with several metal ions is lower than that of pure calcite. The introduction of the copper and zinc ions provides those ions needed in the precipitation of compounds with lower solubility products.

Fundamental For A Great Pool

1. Three principal methods of water sanitation
   
   1. Chlorine is a common chemical that sanitizes and oxidizes quite well.
   2. Ionization is safer and a more effective sanitizer than chlorine.
   3. Oxygen is safer and a much better oxidizer than chlorine. TechnoPure generates "activated oxygen" which includes six different forms of oxygen and hydrogen w/oxygen.
2. A pool is better with all three types combined
   
   1. Sanitation
      The copper/zinc ions penetrate the outer shells of algae spores and bacteria to kill them. Any chlorine residual helps by softening the outer layer of the shell.
   2. Circulation
      The pump pulls water from the pool, and pushes it back to the pool through the filter and any other equipment.
   3. Filtration
      The filter takes out dead algae and bacteria, dust, dirt, etc.
   4. Oxidation
      The "activated oxygen" oxidizes (shocks) the water to destroy any organics that have passed through the filter (contamination from urine, etc, and particles too small to be filtered). The chlorine residual will work with the oxygen to destroy any remaining organics that never reach the filter.

The following is a description of our products and how they work alone and in tandem to create our Hybrid Water purification system.

Electronic Oxidation: Through our microprocessor based controller, our TechnoPure unit applies low amperage, low voltage power across our titanium plates with a proprietary coating. This produces electrolysis of the water molecules and separates the H2O into hydrogen and oxygen. The free hydrogen and free oxygen molecules recombine to allow us to oxidize the water. We are using the base components of water to purify itself, the perfect solution for non-chemical water treatment.

Copper Zinc Ionization: Through our microprocessor based controller, our TechnoPure unit applies low amperage, low voltage power across our copper-zinc plates. This ionization process releases low residual levels, .4-.7 PPM, of ionic copper (CU++) and ionic zinc (ZN++) in the water. Both elements are responsible for bacteria and algae control. The NSF and EPA have recognized for many years the efficiency of these residuals as an excellent alternate sanitizer to chlorine. This process of adding low levels of these residuals also satisfies the water's aggressiveness for metals. This results in balanced water that will not attack your pool pumps or heat exchangers. Both copper and zinc are essential compounds that all living plants and animals need. This type of process treats the water, not the swimmers.

Water Conditioning: Through the process of oxidation and ionization the calcium crystals within the water is converted to its "soft form". This gives the swimmers the soft water feeling as though they are "swimming in silk". This process also stops the "bathtub ring" that many conventional pools and spas have. While water void of calcium is very aggressive to your pool's finish and grout, our water is saturated with calcium and balanced, thus not aggressive to the pool finish or swimmers.

PH Balance Control: Through our microprocessor based controller, our TechnoPure unit is constantly sampling your water and adjusting PH to maintain perfectly balanced water. We use food grade CO2 for this purpose. CO2 is proportionately fed to maintain a perfect balance at all times. This again protects your bathers and equipment through constantly balancing and buffering the water. No more itchy skin or red eyes for the swimmers.

In combining of these separate technologies, we have produced the TechnoPure Hybrid Water System. TechnoPure allows for the seamless combination of today's most technologically advanced systems to complement each other. RESIDENTIAL

Our Residential customers enjoy 100% chlorine-free water. We offer our residential customers the same Hybrid technologies that we use for our commercial systems, except there is NO CHLORINE NEEDED AT ALL.

TechnoPure's controller will be able to remotely monitor and adjust the following;

1. Chlorine levels through ORP (Oxygen Reduction Potential) sensors. Allows us to monitor not just the amount of chlorine in the pools but also how efficiently the chlorine is cleaning the water.
2. PH levels through our pH sensors. Enables us to keep your ph at optimum levels at all times ensuring that your bathers will always experience completely neutral buffered water. This will protect the bathers suits, eyes and skin and your pool equipment.
3. Temperature through remote temperature sensors , allows us to turn the spas down at night and automatically have them rise to their preset temperatures prior to any guest showing up. This also allows you to see any problem with the heaters prior to the call from your guests that one of your pools is cold.
4. Ionization levels through our copper / zinc chambers. The ionization of the water allows us to significantly reduce the amount of chlorine that your bathers are exposed to, typically 50-90 % less chlorine is needed to maintain the same PPM (parts per million) chlorine residual. The Ionization is the primary sanitation and the chlorine is there only as a backup. The ionization process is also responsible for the softening effect on the water that is commonly referred to by our clients as "swimming in silk". This leaves your guest's skin soft to the touch and youthful looking.
5. Oxidation levels through our platinum coated titanium Chambers. The oxidation process manipulates the water molecule itself and constantly shocks the water with natural oxygen. The oxidation process aids the ionization in the nature hybrid conditioning effect that allows us to use reduced amounts of chlorine while providing your customers with the safest purest and most luxurious water available.
6. Automated alarms. Should your water fall out of safe parameters All the above functions will be set with automated alarms that will notify your technicians or our call center immediately, enabling your on site staff to rectify the situation prior to your guests even noticing a problem. This will assure that your guest are always protected and you facility is protected against unnecessary litigation.
